Oceanfront, with a garden entrance and patio, the Ocean House has both a twin bed and a queen bed. You will enjoy the large kitchen, and the bathroom has a warm water bidet. The spacious living room/library has floor to ceiling windows, leather couch, table and chairs, and holds our board game/ video/ book/ and bottle collections. This suite is our most pet-friendly space with easy access to the fenced front yard. Dog bowls, a jar of dog treats, and a dog bed are provided. Self-catering with coffee/tea and basic spices. Adult-only, maximum 3 guests with a 3 night minimum. Extra guest fee applies per night for 3rd guest. Suitable for all sizes of pets. Pets must get along well with other dogs and people.

Directions from BC Ferry Terminal:
From the BC Ferry Terminal, head West towards the Village of Daajing Giids. After 2 km, halfway to town, you will see a breakwater/boat launch facility on your left, followed by a helipad and a parking lot. We are the next property after the helipad on the ocean side. Keep driving past the property until you see the Chateau Norm signs. The entrance is at the bottom of the paved driveway. You can park on the paved driveway behind the line indicated on the fence.

Treats for dogs and adults
Lovely spot , very friendly, helpful owners. We have a dog and our suite was set up with dog bowls, treats , outside dog bath and dog bed/blankets. Some adult treats for us as well.Comfortable, clean, great views and location.

Spectacular view

A change from the "Norm"
Norm and Lori are tremendous hosts. Their friendly and helpful interactions with all the guests were what sets this stay apart from the ‘norm’. They helped us reserve spots at Keenawaii’s Kitchen for a traditional Haida dinner and offered to host a fire pit and a barge cruise around the local area. We loved the hot tub and will try the canoe and kayak on our next visit.We rented the ocean room and Lori’s lounge and raved to our friends back home. Spectacular views and very homey. Norm and Lori have been running Chateau Norm Vacation Rentals since 2003. They have spent many hours building and renovating each space to provide their guests with all of the comforts of home. Their two dogs, Maya and Scout, are super friendly and act as good will ambassadors so your furry friends feel welcome.
