Fenced yard for the dogs!

My partner and I and our pupper stayed in the Boat House for 1 night in August and it was great! It was a last minute booking so we were stoked they had availability. Clean and cozy rooms, spectacular view and the owners are very friendly and easy to deal with. Fenced yard for the dogs! Travelling with a pet can be pretty stressful so this was so appreciated. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy the kayaks, paddle boards and e-bikes that they offer. We did get to take advantage of the hot tub and it was the cherry on top of the end of the vacation. Friendly people makes the stay even better

Jasper was a treat, such a friendly furry boy.  Too bad our Scout was recovering from knee surgery, he sure wanted to play with Jasper.  Safe travels and come back anytime!

Great view, romantic, quiet

We had a wonderful, two night, stay at Chateau Norm, the Boat House. The accommodation is very comfortable, immaculate & is well set up. The view is absolutely spectacular, whether from inside the room, from the wonderful, private deck or the incredible hot tub. It’s all jaw droppingly gorgeous. Norm & Lori, as well as their friend who is helping them over the summer, were all welcoming & very easy to deal with & worked to accommodate my travel dates. The property is well maintained & has lovely amenities like a fire pit to sit outside & enjoy the amazing view. & you can borrow e-bikes or a kayak. It’s a fantastic place to stay & I would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Thanks Norm & Lori.

Magical Property

The Boat House is a magical property! Norm is a very welcoming and knowledgeable host. Having an evening hot tub overlooking the sea and mountains was very special.

Great View!

Stayed in the Boat House. Lori explained the set-up and facilities available. Great location. Well laid out. Cooking is by microwave or bbq which worked for us. No car at first but the 20min walk into town was beautiful. Would certainly stay there again.

Great view, romantic and quiet

We loved our stay at Chateau Norm. The boat house was very spacious and we had everything we needed, plus a cute little deck with a view. The hot tub view was next level and the recommendations for things to do around the island were fantastic. Will definitely be going back!

Loved all the details

We stayed at Chateau Norm for two nights in the Boathouse and loved it so much. Norm and Lori are thoughtful hosts and got all our needs covered: shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, compost bin, recycling bin, effective heater, hot water, kettle, coffee machine, and fridge. We also appreciated the house coats, slippers, and going to the hot tub in them. We appreciated the bed being comfy, the duvet being down, and the sheets being soft—just overall loved all the details and Norm built the cabins himself!We also enjoyed going down to the beach and meeting their lovely furry friends!

Beautiful view all the time!

What a wonderful place to be staying in Haida Gwaii! Lori and Norm are very friendly and very accommodating to us. We were welcome with a bottle of wine and tasty chocolate. The boat house was very cozy. The view of the place was spectacular! A short drive to the nice restaurant and to Co-op on Daijing Giids. The place is also pet friendly. We walked on the beach when the tides were low which was very cool. There're even kayak, canoe, paddle board we can borrow. We also enjoyed using a hot tub after a long hike. Looking out to the ocean in the hot tub was unbelievable! Beautiful view all the time! 😍 Thanks again, Lori and Norm! The best place to stay in Haida Gwaii! We'd love to visit again!
